Job Title: Purchasing Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join our team as a Purchasing Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the company. The Purchasing Administrator will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Supplier Management
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
Order Processing:
Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure all purchase orders are in compliance with company policies and budget constraints.
Track and expedite orders as necessary.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
Collaborate with relevant departments to forecast future demand.
Keep on top of Supplier Returns and Supplier Errors.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and deliveries.
Generate reports on purchasing activities as required.
Cost Management:
Seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.
Analyse and report on purchasing trends to management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience as a Purchasing Administrator or in a similar role.
Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various departments.
Hours: 08:00am - 17:00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,500.00 per year
