Jack the Giant Storer is looking for a Warehouse Worker to join our team in Newport.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a warehouse operator with experience in carpentry (desired).
The Warehouse Worker also assists with the warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping of products, equipment, and supplies. This position may also perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily orders for shipping or collection.
- Organize products in stock rooms, move stock around, and ensure that it will fit in Jack the Giant Storer’s size range.
- Process inventory changes in a timely manner and ensure that inventory is stored appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse spaces - including the stock room - and ensure that they are kept stocked appropriately for the proper functioning of the organization’s products and equipment.
- Keeps the warehouse organized, neat, and clean - including the shop area where we have tools or equipment that needs to be moved or stored temporarily (this includes the truck).
- Weighs or measures items to be transported to the warehouse for storage or shipment. This includes preparing boxes or bags with appropriate contents for storage or shipment, packing items into the truck, or weighing items on a scale before packing is completed.
- Organizes warehouse storage space - including the shop area where we have tools or equipment that needs to be moved or stored temporarily - so that it is functional and meets company standards for safety, efficiency, cleanliness, security, and beauty.
- Operates company vehicles to move goods from their current location to the warehouse so that they can be loaded with products for shipment overseas or back home in Newport, or as required for repairs or storage (this may include driving to an auto repair shop). Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record required of all drivers on our site!
- Perform other duties as assigned by management (this may include assisting with inventory control).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary: £12.50-£13.50 per hour

- Newport: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
