CSP are currently recruiting Freezer Order Pickers on behalf of our client, a well known & established leader in the logistics & distribution sectors.
We are looking for committed candidates with a desire to find a long-term career path who can develop and grow within the company by taking part in their training and upskill programmes. This position is a temporary to permanent role, where you will begin as an order picker in their frozen department but receive training on all other departments as well as LLOP & FLT Reach trucks to become a multi-skilled operative.
We have various shift patterns available:
Weekly rotating 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm
Permanent nights 3pm-11pm
Or permanent nights – 11pm-7am
All based on a rota working 5 days across 7 – you will be provided with a 12 week rota upfront as we understand how important work life balance is
On top of your basic pay, you will accrue holiday pay, picking bonuses which can amount to nearly £450 a month and a pension applicable after a qualifying period.
Salary £11.85 & £14.11 for hours worked after 7pm
Overtime is paid at 1.5 times your basic. Day shift £17.77 & nights £21.16 (this pay bracket is for any hours worked after 37.5 hours per week only)
Initially, your role will include:
- Picking orders by hand in the frozen department following a headset whilst driving a LLOP
- Labelling items
- Sorting items into the correct cages
- Relocating stock
- Wrapping finished orders
The ideal candidate will:
- Be committed to the role long-term
- Work well in a team
- Have a desire to learn and progress within the company
- Have experience in a similar environment
- Have a reasonable level of written & spoken English
Please note that this role is working in a cold environment. This role does include heavy lifting and you will be required to work on your feet, walking around the warehouse for the entire shift so a reasonable level of fitness is necessary.
